Last year, the 2022-2023 budget allocated Rs 360 billion to the Benazir Income Support Program.
In the 2023-2024 budget presented by the current government of Pakistan in the current financial year, the Benazir 8171 Income Support Program has been increased by Rs 40 billion and Rs 400 billion has been allocated to this program. The Government of Pakistan has proposed to increase the amount of the Benazir Income Support Program by Rs 450 billion over the next financial year.
BISP – Old Budget 2022-2023
In the 2022-2023 budget, the allocation for the Benazir Income Support Program has been significantly increased. In the 2021-2022 budget, Rs 250 billion was allocated to the Benazir Income Support Program, but in the 2022-2023 budget, this amount was increased to Rs 264 billion.

Budget for BISP schemes
The Benazir Income Support Program says there are many opportunities for poor people in many sectors of Pakistan. The following are some of the important schemes under the BISP program.
- BISP sponsorship program
In fiscal year 2023-24, Benazir Kafalat Cash will be provided to 9,300,000 families of Pakistan at a rate of Rs 8,750 per quarter under the Benazir Kafalat Program. This means that those eligible for the BISP 8171 program will be able to receive Rs 8,750 every three months. In the budget for 2023-2024, 346 billion rupees has been allocated for the Benazir program.
The government also announced that this amount may increase in the near future. - Benazir Education Scholarship Program
As part of the Benazir Educational Scholarship Program, under which 60,000 children previously received scholarships, now 83,000 children will receive educational scholarships. In which a quota of 52% is fixed for girls. In the 2023-2024 budget, over Rs 55 billion has been allocated for Benazir Education Wazif.

How to register for BISP Ehsaas 8171 Program-2023?
- The Government of Pakistan has started a new verification and registration process through NADRA in the Ehsaas Kafalat program.
Families not yet enrolled in the Benazir Income Support Program can now enroll in the Benazir Ehsaas 8171 program.
- To qualify for and receive money from the Government of Pakistan’s social and economic welfare programs, first register for the survey.
- In order to register at the Benazir Social and Economic Services Center, the head of household, whether male or female, must present their national identity card at the 8171 center.
Families who have not yet registered for the Welfare Survey will receive a message to contact 8171 if there is an error in their information or if they need to update their home visitation information.
